Bubbly From Around the World
Our latest tasting series, "Bubbly from around the world" was a huge success. We had a full bar enjoying the 10 sparkling wines that Drea O'Connell, fine wine specialist, brought with her to pour.
By far the favorite of the evening was the Sparkling Shiraz from Australia, Peringa. It has a lush, deep, berry color with wonderful aromas and subtle earthy tones. It paired wonderfully with the dark chocolate. It would be a few days later when we would discover the best pairing was with the buffalo burger. The leaness and flavor of the buffalo was complimented perfectly by the subtle richness of the Sparling Shiraz.
So wonderful was this wine that everyone that tasted it bought at least one bottle to take home with the Chatfields purchasing a case. We have added to our wine list so come on in and try it. We gaurantee you will love it and if you have a special occasion to attend come by the bistro and we'll wrap up a bottle for you to wow your friends and guests.
